Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve students within a supportive school district in Yreka, California, for the 20252026 school year. About the Role
The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide direct and consultative therapy services to K12 students, addressing communication challenges that affect their ability to learn and participate successfully in the classroom. This includes assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and partnership with educators and families to implement evidence-based interventions.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students across grade levels

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

Provide direct therapy sessions, both individual and small group, targeting speech, fluency, voice, and language goals

Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements

Consult with teachers, parents, and support staff on communication strategies and accommodations

Participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and professional development activities

Promote inclusive practices and positive communication outcomes in all school environments
Qualifications & Requirements

Active California SLP License or eligibility for state licensure

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFs encouraged to apply

Strong understanding of school-based service delivery models and IDEA compliance

Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
